Amir Hakamian ? Product Quality Manager ? joined January 2015
With a Diploma in Computer Science, a Bachelor of Commerce, and a PMP designation, Amir brings quite the skillset to his role as Product Quality Manager. With an eye for detail and flawless designs that are integrated with state of the art user experience, Amir was drawn to Q4 because of the distinctive design element within it’s product offerings. Having worked for large corporations such as Celestica, Advanced Micro Devices and EFI, and also as an independent contractor, Amir has been exposed to various organizational structures. During his time as an independent contractor, he assisted many start-ups to build a software development lifecycle with the element of quality at it’s core. A perfect day for Amir begins with playing Strawberry Fields (The Beatles) on vinyl, grinding and brewing coffee beans, and heading for a quick swim!
Mark Pileski ? Senior Vice President, Marketing ? joined January 2015
Mark is a dedicated software marketer and has guided many start-ups and growth stage tech companies towards great success. Mark has a five-year old boy who?s given him the perfect excuse for investing obscene amounts of time and money into LEGO! Mark spends his spare time outside with his family and Sadie, his ?golden labradoodle. He can also be found participating in marathon gaming sessions while listening to Tool at uncomfortable volume levels. Q4 is very pleased to have Mark join as Senior VP of Marketing to lead the marketing team toward building Q4?s brand.
Elizabeth “Scurrilizzie” Wood ? joined February 2015
Elizabeth (better known as Liz) has recently joined Q4?s support team and is on board to continue Q4?s dedication to client and support services! Having graduated from Ryerson University, Liz is equipped with knowledge of the web and media and is very passionate about creativity, design, and social media. Liz grew up in Port Elgin, Ontario and has lived in Toronto since her undergraduate studies. Outside of work, she plays hockey with the York U women?s league on weekends to help keep fit. Liz is a fan of metal music and a contributor on Heavy Blog is Heavy, and also loves the music scene in Toronto! You can check out Liz?s portfolio plug here.
Andrew Carr ? Client Services Specialist (CSS) ? joined January 2015
Andrew joined the growing CSS team in January and was formerly with RBC in their Client Services credit card department, as well Canadian Tire. He acquired his BBA degree from Wilfrid Laurier University with a designation in Finance. Andrew grew up in the Middle East, specifically Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and loves to travel, exploring new places and cultures – he previously taught English in Korea! A huge soccer fan, Andrew supports Leeds United and and is always up for a game whenever the weather permits. In his spare time, he plays soccer, works out, and also attempts a game or two in golf.
Theepan Kanthavel ? Front-end Developer ? joined February 2015
For over five years, Theepan has been passionate about front-end development. Outside of work, he?s a major fan of space and alien documentaries and movies. The Transformers and Sherlock Holmes Series’ are particular favourites. He enjoys long train and bus rides and and loves to travel when he gets a chance. He?s also a soon-to-be father, and is very excited about that!
Tom Burke – Director, Corporate Sales ??joined February 2015
Tom previously worked for PR Newswire and Nasdaq, and brings with him experience in corporate communications and IR sales. He was also with PrimeZone selling newswire distribution when Nasdaq acquired them in 2006. Tom enjoys playing basketball with his three kids Garrett, Taylor, and Austin and is a spirited parent at their games! Growing up in Massachusetts, Tom is a major fan of Boston city despite moving to the Los Angeles area in 2010. A huge fan of beer, Tom loves IPA?s and misses the Harpoon IPA in particular since it?s an East Coast beer, and isn?t distributed in LA. With a spirit for adventure, he also loves to hike and has spent many summers hiking in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. It?s also very easy to go on hikes in LA, so that?s a definite upside of living in the area! Q4 is very excited to have Tom on board as Director of Corporate Sales and to have him achieve the vision of further expanding its client base.
